The Universidad de Cartagena is a public, coeducational research university located in the historic city of Cartagena, Bolívar, Colombia. Established in 1827 by Simón Bolívar and Francisco de Paula Santander, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the country, known for its commitment to academic excellence and community engagement. The university was the first public institution in the Caribbean region to receive High-Quality Institutional Accreditation from the Ministry of Education in 2014.
