Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, a central university in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India, was established in 1983 and later converted to a central university under the Central Universities Act, 2009. It is one of Chhattisgarh's largest and oldest institutions of higher education, accredited with an 'A++' grade by NAAC. The university is named after the Satnami Saint Guru Ghasidas, who advocated for the downtrodden and fought against social injustice.
