Galatasaray University is a public university in Istanbul, Turkey, established in 1992 through an agreement between the Turkish and French governments. It is the only Francophone university in Turkey, known for its strong academic programs in social sciences, humanities, law, economics, and engineering, and its commitment to fostering a multicultural academic environment. The university is located in the Ortaköy district on the European side of Istanbul, in the historic Feriye Palace on the Bosphorus.
